Carers Grant (back to services)

A Carers Grant is a one-off payment and aims to support a Carer to improve their quality of life, health and wellbeing whilst also providing information about other services that may help maintain their independence and access to local community services.

Carers  may be entitled to receive a Carers Grant if they are providing necessary care’ and the person they care for is NOT in receipt of social care funded services. Not all Carers will benefit from a Carers Grant but may require more information and advice.

This fund is provided by the Department of Adult Social Services and Wirral CCG and is only available to Carers over the age of 18 caring for someone over the age of 18 and living in Wirral.

For those Carers caring for someone under the age of 18 please see Wirral Local Offer
