Wirral Carers Register

This register was launched during Carers Week in June 2007. The register is a way of linking up and recording all the carers who live on Wirral. We know according to the National Census there are over 37,500 people on the Wirral looking after someone but there is no official record of who or where there are.

The register will ensure carers receive regular and up to date information on services or changes to services that may help with their caring responsibilities. It also helps people who plan services and gives them the opportunity to consult with carers about any changes.

We now have over 600 carers registered with us and the number is growing daily. If you look after a child, parent, spouse or anyone who depends on you because of disability or an illness and would like more details of how to register please email us at info@wirralcarers.co.uk or call the Carers Helpline at WIRED on 0151 670 0777

Once registered you will receive our quarterly newsletter containing the latest information affecting carers in Wirral by post .  It has articles showing you carers participating in Wired events and information about groups who are getting involved to influence services in the local area.
